ROPA Method
ROPA, which stands for Reception of Oocytes from the Partner, allows same-sex couples to ‘share motherhood’.

This technique consists of an In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedure where one woman contributes with her oocytes and the other women contributes with her uterus. Thus, both women can actively participate in the process, in order to achieve a full term pregnancy and a healthy baby at home.

Intended for:

Same-sex female couples who wish to share motherhood and become active participants in the reproductive process, either by own choice and/or by other medical reasons concerning one of the partners, such as:
Alterations in oocyte quality
Absence of own ovocytes
Absence or severe ovarian dysfunction
Risk of hereditary transmission of any disease
Chromosomal or genetic abnormalities
Failure of previous fertility treatments
